Why Undetected Leaks are a Facility Nightmare

Water damage is the single most common cause of property loss in commercial facilities. In a hospital or industrial environment, a single burst pipe or a faulty boiler unit can destroy millions in equipment, disrupt patient care, and lead to expensive remediation.

Undetected After-Hours Incidents

Leaks often happen when staff isn't looking. A weekend leak in a mechanical room can go unnoticed for 48 hours, turning a minor fix into a major facility shutdown.

Damage to High-Value Assets

MRI machines, server racks, and pharmacy inventory are high-value targets for water damage. Manual rounds only catch problems once they've already caused a mess.

Insurance & Liability Risk

High insurance premiums and deductibles are often tied to water damage history. Proactive mitigation is the only way to reduce exposure and keep premiums manageable.

Real-Time Mitigation

Continuous Monitoring for Total Peace of Mind

Replace reactive "firefighting" with a proactive water mitigation strategy. The HEX-L provides 24/7 monitoring for standing water and moisture, ensuring that your team is the first to know—not the last—when a leak occurs.

Instant Excursion Alerts
Receive calls, texts, or emails the second a leak is detected. Customizable user groups ensure the right on-call staff is notified immediately.
Customizable Detection Zones
The HEX-L-Z can be extended with 10ft cables and up to 30ft to wrap around tanks, line the perimeter of server rooms, or monitor long pipe runs.
5-Minute Installation
No wiring or special configuration required. Place the sensor, and it connects automatically to the Hexmodal dashboard.
How it Works

24/7 Protection in Four Simple Steps

Step 1

Install in Minutes

Place sensors under sinks, near floor drains, or around critical machinery. No wiring or electrical work required.

Step 2

Automatic Monitoring

The device monitors for water 24/7. Long-term battery life and rugged industrial design ensure reliable operation in harsh environments.

Step 3

Activate Gateway

Devices connect automatically to the Hex-G cellular gateway. Covers 250,000 sq. ft. without touching your facility’s Wi-Fi or IT infrastructure.

Step 4

Immediate Notification

Trace the location instantly via the Hexmodal Dashboard. Stop the leak at the source before it spreads to other floors or units.

    FAQs

    Questions, answered with clarity.

    What does HEX-L detect?

HEX L identifies the presence of water early, triggering on as little as 0.2 inches. Zone sensors can monitor long runs under sinks, behind equipment, in mechanical rooms, or along walls where leaks often go unnoticed until damage occurs.

Does HEX-L require WiFi or access to the hospital network?

No. HEX L uses Hexmodal’s independent low frequency radio and cellular gateway. There is no WiFi, no Ethernet, and no IT involvement, which avoids approval delays and cybersecurity concerns.

    Where can HEX-L be installed?

Sensors can be placed under sinks, in telemetry closets, behind refrigerators and freezers, in OR cores, sterile storage, labs, pharmacies, and mechanical spaces. The devices are dustproof and waterproof, so they work reliably in both clinical and back-of-house environments.

    How do alerts work?

Your team receives alerts by text, email, or phone call as soon as water is detected. You can set custom escalation paths to ensure the right staff member responds quickly.

What is the difference between spot sensors and zone sensors?

Spot sensors monitor a specific point, while zone sensors cover 10 to 30 foot runs to detect leaks along a wider area. Both types connect through the same gateway and report into the same dashboard.

Do the sensors require wiring or power outlets?

No. HEX L is battery powered and installs in minutes. No wiring, drilling, or access to electrical outlets is required.

How long does the battery last?

Batteries typically last five or more years. Hexmodal provides free replacement batteries and sends reminders well in advance.

Is this useful for off-site or unattended facilities?

Yes. HEX L gives real time visibility into clinics, MOBs, pharmacies, procedural areas, and any location where water damage could go unnoticed for hours or days.

Is support included in the price?

Yes. All 24/7 support, spare parts, replacement sensors, and batteries are included in the subscription. There are no hidden fees.
